Help Support Special Moms of Special Kids

Being a wife and a mom is an absolute joy. Serving my family and community, is one of my greatest desires. Whether it is dressing my medically complex boys in the morning, managing countless doctor and therapist appointments, walking alongside another mom, or simply menu planning and whipping up breakfast, lunch, and dinner, my goal is to serve well, and with a cheerful heart. But let's be honest, sometimes it is exhausting. It is stressful and lonely, BUT THERE IS HOPE!

In 2022, a few months after my sweet Lydia passed, I was introduced to Labeled and Loved, a national organization created by special needs moms for special needs families. Their mission is to embrace and strengthen families with disabilities by providing connective experiences and educational resources for the primary caretaker igniting personal growth and systemic change within the community.

To put it simply, the goal is to create a place for special moms and caretakers to belong, feel encouraged, and find hope.

Labeled and Loved hosts local chapter events, online support groups, and a yearly national retreat.

I was given the opportunity to attend the retreat in 2023 in Colorado Springs and in Memphis in 2024. Both were weekends full of emotions. We were encouraged to be vulnerable, honest, and real in a room full of other Mamas that "get it" and walk journeys of their own. How refreshing!!! We were loved on in amazing ways, encouraged through speakers, hands on activities, and actual fun and relaxation, and recharged to come home and be better caregivers.

Throughout the year, Labeled and Loved provides smaller local events as well. There are several local chapters throughout the country. I have the privilege of being actively involved in the North Houston Circle. It has become an amazing community of support and encouragement.

I created the fundraiser to humbly ask for your gift. Without the financial support of others, Labeled and Loved would not be able to provide the vital support they strive for. This year I have set a big goal! My goal represents my hope to give many more moms the opportunity to experience the support of others like them. I want to aim high and love big!
